Watch This Space

This was an attempt to combine an infinity mirror with a smart mirror.

I got the sides of the case cut at Showcase Plastics, though the minimum per-piece cost made it comparatively unaffordable.

The flaws in this plan were pretty predictable, but I wanted to see how they would manifest.

The combination of a less-bright display, the fact that it's behind both two-way mirrors, and the fact that there's not a full mirror on the other side means that the infinite effect is very unconvincing, especially in well-lit rooms. In complete darkness it's passable, but under most ambient lighting conditions it just looks like a screen with an extra reflection from having glass in front of it.
